In 2014, my grandma and I got stuck in Iceland for a day on our way to Europe. After touring for a day we vowed to return, and made good on that promise in June 2017. There are really no words that can properly describe Iceland -- it is nothing short of stunning, and land where around each corner seems to be more beautiful than the last. It's a land of stark contrast, fire, ice, windswept mountains, fields of wildflowers as far as the eye can see, where impossibly shaped mountains rise over tiny country churches. Suffice it to say that Iceland is hands down my favorite country I've ever visited.
